    Lembeh Resort

Lembeh Resort is nestled away in a private cove with a wealth of exotic flora and fauna in a central part of Lembeh Island. The secluded location of the resort ensures a quiet and tranquil experience, while the warm-hearted team offer service with a smile to make certain that your experience of Lembeh will be the best that it possibly can be. You will discover that despite of the seclusion on a tropical island in North Sulawesi you will not have to give up the comforts of a luxury ocean front resort. Lembeh Resort’s cottages are charming, spacious and comfortable with a wealth of modern amenities.

The Lembeh Strait is widely recognized by marine biologists as having the Worlds highest concentration of rare and unusual marine life. The practice of Muck-Diving, also known as Critter-Diving, began in Lembeh Strait in the mid nineties when marine biologists started to explore the black sand slopes of Lembeh Strait to identify the amazing diversity of animals that inhabit the underwater realm of Lembeh Strait. Today, 20 years later, divers who enjoy both macro as well as wide-angle underwater photography travel from all over the world to experience this magical place in North Sulawesi.

Perched slightly above the beautiful waters of Lembeh Strait and surrounded by lush tropical gardens Lembeh Resort was built to inconspicuously blend into the natural landscape. Westerly views of ancient extinct volcanoes and spectacular sunsets await you. Experience the warm hospitality, tropical beauty and unique wonders of our home, Lembeh Resort. We are committed to delivering North Sulawesi hospitality at its best and making our guests’ stay enjoyable and memorable both above and below the water. With a 4:1 staff ratio to ensure a high level of service, our team looks forward to welcoming you to Lembeh Resort soon.

    Lembeh Resort

Diving in Lembeh with 2:1 guest to guide ratio.
NAD-Lembeh Resort and the Lembeh Strait are famous all over the world for the peerless macro and muck diving.  NAD-Lembeh is expert in Nitrox, Rebreathers, Photography – we do it all.

The Lembeh Strait region offers more than just face to face encounters with weird and wonderful muck critters. They also have wall diving, technical diving, big fish dives but most importantly – a lot of muck and sand.

NAD is also owner-operated, almost all year Simon and Zee are present on site. If they aren’t at the resort, they are off on a photographic adventure or diving.  Their dive team is second-to-none, with 15 full-time guides who between them have over 100 years of diving experience in Lembeh.

Diving the Lembeh Strait is something that all divers should try at least once because these black sand bays and coral outcrops hold an outstanding amount of marine life. Especially if you are an underwater photographer,  the Lembeh Strait should be on your “must visit list”, likely multiple times!

Divers visiting Lembeh are likely to see a vast list of must-see critters, such as Frogfish, Rhinopias, a huge array of Nudibranchs and Octopus, the Blue-Ringed Octopus and Mimic Octopus, being a highlight. Lembeh is not just muck diving though, they explore all over the island and beyond to find some of the best reef diving in South East Asia.

    Executive/Family Bungalow

NAD Lembeh Resort features five wooden Minahasa style bungalows located in a secluded portion of the resort, a short distance away from the main building. The Seaview Bungalows have moderate steps and great views over the Strait.  Ideal for those looking for a little more seclusion than the Beachfront rooms.  Of course, Airconditioning and Hot water as standard.

    Beachfront Rooms

The rooms directly by the beach and pool.  Ideal for those who do not like steps.  Air conditioned with hot water and a comfy bed.

    Photography Tours

Join one of Bali’s best photographers and explore some of the great photographic areas of Ubud and the surrounding volcanoes away from the tourist trail. Sunrise over Mount Agung and the rice fields.

Visit ancient temples, traditional markets, dramatic landscapes and photograph rural Balinese life, including traditional ceremonies and dances (subject to temple schedules).

They cater for all levels, from beginner to advanced, and it’s great for non- photographers too.

It’s a very good idea to book these tours, activities and classes in advance as they get booked up quickly.

    Triton Bay Divers

Located approximately 30 nautical miles from the town of Kaimana in the Indonesian province of West Papua, previously known as Irian Jaya, on the western part of the island of New Guinea. Our location is indicated on the Google map above. Triton Bay is one of three regions that comprise the Bird’s Head Seascape (the other two being Raja Ampat and Cenderawasih Bay), which is now considered by marine biologists to be the epicenter of the Coral Triangle and which contains more fish and coral species than anywhere else on the planet.

    Accommodation

The resort’s 6 bungalows, all with sea views, are each able to sleep 2 people comfortably.  Four of the bungalows can accommodate 3 if necessary.  At the end of your day, relax on your deck or enjoy a hot water shower in your private bathroom.

Each room is equipped with a large ceiling fan and designed with “natural” air conditioning in mind.  There is a desk with extra (220v) power sockets, allowing you to download and view your photos whilst charging your camera in preparation for your next day of diving.

Unfortunately, at this time we do not have 24 hour electricity available, but are planning to install solar panels in the not to distant future.  Power will be on from 6:00 am to 11:00pm.

We are conscious of our environmental foot-print and have built the resort using natural local materials which blend in with the tropical surroundings.  Any wood from trees that had to be removed has been utilized elsewhere throughout the resort using local craftsmen and traditional techniques while still allowing for a modern touch.

    Dining, Relaxation, and Diving

Enjoy three delicious meals plus a local snack in the afternoon every day in our spacious open air dining room, which is designed to make you feel at one with nature.  Eat, chat and hangout with new friends or simply relax between dives watching the waves lapping on the beach.

There is free coffee, tea and water available all day.  Soft drinks and beer are also available at the bar and will be billed to your room.  If you prefer something a little stronger we recommend you bring in duty free as most alcohol and spirits are not permitted in this part of Papua.

Finally, our Dive Center is located at the far end of the beach and inside you will find your own personal storage area where your dive equipment will be kept during your stay.
