Overview:

Nautilus Explorer prides themselves and differentiate the Nautilus by offering a recently built ship that was custom designed for divers to the highest possible level of comfort and safety with a layout that utilizes every square foot of available space. Their crew takes exceptional pride in keeping the boat spotlessly clean and running smoothly.

Accommodations:

Nautilus Explorer’s staterooms and suites have side-by-side beds, private heads with showers and central air conditioning. They pride themselves on keeping the vessel exceptionally clean, duvet covers are changed after every trip, towels are sanitized and laundered after use, etc. Lower deck cabins are 88 square feet and have their own portholes, while the lareger hot tub deck executive suites are 144 square feet and have large windows, wardrobe and desk and a door to the outside deck. Dorm berths are located adjacent to the crews’ quarters and are not air conditioned.

Dining:

Food is a cornerstone of life onboard and they feature fresh and imaginative cuisine with a mix of western and Mexican menu items prepared by their 2 chefs. You can expect a mix of plated, family style and buffet service with lots of varied and fresh snacks and appetizers and a barbeque on the upper deck or onshore. A dungeness crab feast and their famous Nautilus burgers are featured on every trip.

Sample Itinerary:

Socorro Island

Trips board at the main API dock in Cabo San Lucas harbor at 8:00 AM and depart shortly afterward. This is the same dock that the cruise ship tenders come and go from. After a one-day ocean crossing you will arrive at the first dive site on the morning of the first dive day. There are 6 dive days on an 8-night trip and you will be visiting 3 different islands of this beautiful remote and deserted archipelago. You will pack up after the last full dive day and a relaxing dinner anchored in a protected cove for the one day voyage home, arriving in Cabo San Lucas the next evening. You spend one more night on the boat before you disembark the next morning at 8:30 AM. Average trip length is 8 nights, 9 days.

The Diving:

The diving off Nautilus Explorer is a wide variety, ranging from the Sea of Cortez with moray eels and various fish life, to Socorro with the Mantas, Sharks and Dolphins, to Guadalupe with Great White sharks.
