The Komodo Dancer Liveaboard visits dive sites between Bali, Indonesia and The Komodo National Park Indonesia, part of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Any time of the year this area of Indonesia offers good diving. Visibility may vary from season to season but 10 to 20 meters (35 to 100 ft.) can b e expected at most dive sites.

Komodo Dancer offers 11 Day/ 10 Night cruises featuring an enhanced itinerary that allows guests more time diving, more time in the signature area of the Komodo National Park.

The Komodo Dancer is a traditionally-crafted, two -masted wooden motor sailor that stretches 98 feet long and accommodates 16 guests. Your liveaboard diving adventure begins in maumere, the capital of Flores where the elegant, two masted, wooden Komodo Dancer will meet you. Climb aboard to explore the best of these fauna-rich waters in the Flores Sea.

This 10- night cruise on board the Komodo Dancer will explore the chain of islands between Flores and Alor, deep into what is called East Nusa Tenggara. Crystal clear visibility, exciting drifts along sheer walls, dazzling coral gardens and some magnificent sandy critter dives combine to house one of the most prolific and diverse marine ecosystems on earth.

  • Pre-Embarkation Day: International Arrival at Bali Airport (DPS), Transfer from airport to hotel in Bali, Check into Bali Hotel
  • Day 1 (Embark): Transfer from hotel to Bali Airport for domestic flight to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) (Transfer #1), Fly from Bali to Labuan Bajo (LBJ), on Flores Island, Transfer from Labuan Bajo (LBJ) Airport to Komodo Dancer. (Transfer #2), Embark Komodo Dancer, Check-out dive
  • Day 2-9: Diving up to 4 dives each day while exploring the region of Komodo National Park, Sangeang Island and Sumbawa. Areas that may be explored include Labuhanbajo, Sebayor, Gil Lawah Laut, Tatawa, Gill Banta, Nusa Kode, and Padar.
  • Day 10: Diving two dives
  • Day 11 (Disembark): Transfer from Komodo Dancer to Labuan Bajo Airport (LBJ) (Transfer #3), Fly from Labuan Bajo (LBJ), FLores Island to Bali, Arrive Bali and transfer to hotel
  • Post Disembarkation Day: Transfer from hotel to Bali Airport (DPS), International Departure for home

The Diving:

The Komodo Dancer Liveaboard’s primary itinerary focuses on diving in Komodo National Park Indonesia which sits at the heart of the intersection between five major ocean currents, making it one of the most biodiverse places in the world. The park is home to more than 1,000 species of fish, 385 species of reef building corals, 70 species of sponges, 10 dolphin species, six whale species, giant sea turtles, dugongs, and various species of sharks and rays.

The underwater terrain ranges from thrilling vertical walls and pinnacles to tranquil sandy flats. The marine life provides a broad spectrum of experiences from heart-pounding encounters with mantas and other large pelagics down to the total satisfaction of spotting tiny pygmy seahorses.
