Carib Dancer

The Carib Dancer Liveaboard Bahamas is the newest addition to the Dancer Fleet Liveaboards and appeals to those discriminating scuba divers who prefer a smaller 14-passenger yacht that is perfectly suited for The Bahamas and the “Out Islands” diving itinerary.

All indoor areas are air-conditioned and each of the fine (5) deluxe guest cabins feature a double bed with single bunk above and en-suite facilities. Additionally, a uniquely designed quad cabin offers four single double-bunk style beds with en-suite facilities. The beautifully appointed salon has ample room for divers to view their photos and videos or to enjoy a movie on the entertainment system.

Meals prepared by their onboard chef consist of an international mix with a local flair. The Dancer Fleet’s drink selection includes fruit juices, soft drinks, plenty of iced water, tea and coffee and a limited selection of local beer and wine.

Sample Itinerary:

  • Saturday: Guests are met at the airport by a uniformed crew member and assisted in locating a taxi, which is readily available to the Carib Dancer, or their pre-paid transfer. Nassau taxi regulations do not permit/allow crew members to transport you to the yacht. Embarkation is at 4:00 and snacks are served upon boarding followed by the Captain’s briefing and dinner later that evening.
  • Sunday through Thursday: Experience the best that The Bahamas has to offer with up to 5 dives a day delivered in Dancer Fleet style in and around Nassau and the Out Islands of the Bahamas.
  • Friday: Diving ends Friday morning. At approximately 12:00 p.m. the Carib Dancer returns to port. The afternoon is spent on excursions or sightseeing and shopping in town. A cocktail party is hosted for you by the Captain around 6:00 p.m. (depending on tour schedules) followed by dinner on your own in town at a local restaurant.
  • Saturday: Checkout time 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Taxis are arranged to transport guests to the airport. US Immigration and Customs are based in Nassau and you “pre-clear” back into the US. This means that all flights that originate in Nassau and arrive at a US Airport- do so as a DOMEStIC FLIGHT. Thus- no customs and immigration lines in the US. On the return- guests can plan tighter connections.

The Diving:

The Exumas consist of an array of more than 350 small islands and cays streaming down from just 35 miles south of new Providence to the anchor islands of Great and Little Exuma to the south. The Exumas are a 120-mile-long island chain-within-the-chain of the Out Islands. The Cays are the most exotic of the Out Islands, a collection of tiny jewels set in the aquamarine and sapphire of the most beautiful water you’ve ever imagined with an intriguing combination of walls and rich shallow reefs. Scuba divers travel to find three things: dramatic walls, lush coral reefs and exciting animal encounters- and the Bahamas Out Islands offer all this!
