Atlantis Azores

Overview:

The M/V Atlantis Azores serves 16 guests in double cabins with full ensuite facilities. Azores is the perfect place from which to explore the Philippines. They offer four distinct itineraries showcasing certain parts of the Philippines, or schedules only possible by liveaboard.

January through mid March is Whaleshark season in Southern Leyte; enjoy unrivaled snorkeling action with these gentle giants and dive some unspoiled walls and slopes during the week.

Tubbataha is their most popular season running from mid March through to early June- explore kilometers of pristine drop offs and see just about anything.

Dumaguete is their base for the summer months of June through September and their Visayas Safari is a unique opportunity to take in several beautiful islands in one week- something that would take several weeks, or several vacations to do any other way.

Last, by no means least, they spend October through December based out of Puerta Galera exploring the birth place of diving in the Philippines-Anilao, and heading down to Apo Reef on the West coast of Mindoro- a hidden gem only a few get to see.

Accommodations:

Atlantis Azores has been set up for divers by diver, including modern safety features and lots of extras to make your dive holiday all you expect and the trip of a lifetime.

State Rooms and Owner Suite:

Azores has seven deluxe staterooms- with double and single berths, lavatory, hairdryer, private head and shower. All situated below decks. The suite is located on the upper deck and also has a double and single berth. The suite has a desk, window and extensive storage space.

Entertainment:

Enjoy a wide selection of movies on their flat screen TV or sit back with a book or magazine from their library. The Azores features a partially covered sun deck with chase lounges, complete wet bar, hot tub, an assortment of sitting areas with tables and large swim platform with freshwater showers.

Dining:

Atlantis Azores proudly serves freshly “a la minute” prepared meals and snacks all day. Start the day with a light continental breakfast of freshly baked bread, cereals, yogurts and fruit. After the first dive you sit down to a full breakfast- meats, cheese, sweet selections and of course eggs any way you choose.

Lunches and dinners are served family style: Fresh seafood, Filipino favorites as well as a selection of pastas, salads and homemade soups.

If the regular selection of snacks, meals and drinks does not satisfy your appetite the boat has a snack and drinks bar open all day- brew your own fresh cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a homemade cookie or other tasty delicacies.

Most dives are done from two zodiac tender boats with a short ride to dive sites. Their dive team will ensure you get the best from every dive; charters include five dives a day (including night) although personal preferences or logistical concerns may change this on a day to day basis.

The Azores offers a full range of PADI Programs; popular specialties such as Nitrox, Underwater Photography and Naturalist can be easily completed around the dive schedule.

Nitrox is available on all charters.
